Building Relationships

Building Relationships

Begin To See Yourself As A Relationship Builder!

Ever wonder why that is so important?

Successful businesses are built by establishing and maintaining good, solid relationships with other people. You can begin to build your new business by simply starting to construct healthy, positive relationships with other people around you. Building appropriate business relationships will take more than a little bit of work and effort on your part. It could be the beginning of the work of a lifetime!

If you are willing to do the work of building successful relationships with other people, then you will more than likely succeed in business as well.

Quality Tips For Serious Relationship Builders Only

1. Did you just smile? Perhaps you could have, would have or should have smiled? Did you just build or destroy your own business relationship credibility with your smile or failure to smile? A smile costs nothing and can mean so much to so many people. What it says is, "I like you," or "I trust you," or even, "I would be more than happy to do business with you." Better still, do you or does your business wear 'a happy face'?

2. Are you dressed appropriately for business today? Maybe you thought it was the single most important thing that you could do, didn't think it mattered much, or maybe you didn't think about it at all? First impressions really do count, so is it 'a blue jean day' or 'a business dress code day'? You decide and dress accordingly for success.

3. Do you treat others with respect? If you do, you will gain the respect of others. If you do not, you will lose their respect and it will be reflected in your business. People may not always deserve your respect, but if you treat them with respect, whether they deserve it or not, they might surprise you and try to become worthy of your respect.

4. Is there something new, different and exciting about what you and your business have to offer to others? Maybe they just cannot pin point what it is and it gains their attention, as well as their curiosity? Does it intrigue them or does it frighten them away?

5. Does your attitude to your own business reflect something that would attract you to it, if you were the person seeking to enter a new business project? Would you change your attitude, if you thought that it might result in the success of your business, rather than its failure?

6. Has your own attitude ever been affected by your relationship with others? Would that not also be a factor to consider with respect to their relationship to you, and with respect to the growth and development of your business? Do you have a positive attitude? That could be very infectious.

7. Have your reached an impass with respect to your business because of money? In terms of business or business relationships, is that impeding or enhancing your progress? Have you started to sound like a stuck record, in terms of demanding money from those who are involved in business relationships with you? Ask yourself if that would turn you off or on, and then decide how that would affect others.

8. Have your really listened to what you are saying to others in terms of being a business relationship builder? Are you using a builder's or a destroyer's vocabulary? Words are so important. They are very easily given out, but very difficult to take back. The words that you give out may be the ones that you get back, so speak with caution and courtesy.

9. Have you ever received a 'chain' letter and felt like the person who sent it just put you into some kind of bondage, locked into an obligation to do the same thing, just to be 'friends'? Love is something that is passed along in both personal or business relationships, but it breaks the chains of bondage, allowing new freedom and enjoyment on a higher level.

10. Do you feel like you are all alone in your business and that no one really cares about you or what you do? Perhaps there are others who feel exactly the same way that you do and if you were to reach out to them in terms of your business, they too might find that there is a whole 'other' business world that actually does exist and that there are those who really do care about you and your business venture.

If you have other relationship building 'tips', you are cordially invited to pass them along.
